Sirada (Ping) Rochanavibhata is a developmental scientist studying cross-cultural and cross-linguistic language development. Her scholarship focuses on how children’s cultural environment and early linguistic experience influence their language acquisition and cognitive skills, with the aim to better understand developmental trajectories in children from diverse, underrepresented communities. Sirada completed her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University. Prior to receiving her Ph.D., she worked as a caregiver for infants and toddlers at UCLA’s Infant Development Program, where she conducted research and developed curricula. Having completed her undergraduate degree in Los Angeles, Sirada is excited to be back in California and explore all that the Bay Area has to offer.
