- Title: Applying to Elementary Teaching Credential Programs in California
- Presenter: Molly McManus
- Recommended Audience: CAD students who are interested in elementary teaching and applying to PreK-3 or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential programs.
- Description/Purpose of Session:
- To share information about and discuss the process of becoming an elementary school teacher - specifically applying to PreK-3 or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential programs.
- Half of the session will be open to questions and discussion to support individual cases and learn and plan together.

- Understand the difference between the two elementary teaching credential programs.
- Understand the concrete steps they need to take to apply to a teaching credential program in CA.
- Session Style/Length: The session will begin with a 10 minute ice breaker/group activity followed by a 20 minute talk that covers Molly’s personal experience, important terminology, and steps that students must follow in apply for and begin a teaching credential program. The final 30 minutes will be left free for discussion and questions.
