Important Notes
-
The University will be using your Degree Progress Report (DPR) to check if all requirements have been completed to award your degree.
-
Please email cad@sfsu.edu if any of the following apply to you:
-
If your DPR does not list an exception that your advisor has approved
-
If your DPR lists any missing requirement(s) (e.g., red square) and you are not sure how to meet the requirement(s)
-
If your DPR lists that you still need to meet the Complementary Studies requirement (CAD students meet the University's Complementary Studies requirement)
-
If your student center does not list the option to apply for graduation (but you believe that you will be able to meet all of your requirements for the graduation term you wish to apply for)
-
-
If you are unsure if you are meeting all university graduation requirements (e.g., General Education requirements), please meet with an advisor at the Undergraduate Advising Center.
-
If you need to declare a minor or remove a minor that you are no longer pursuing, please use the Online Change of Minor system.
-
Please do not contact CAD faculty advisors or schedule advising appointments to review the graduation application process – if you have questions about the application process, please visit the Registrar’s Website, email cad@sfsu.edu, or stop by CAD drop-in advising. If you need support mapping out your remaining requirements to graduate, please attend one of our advising services.

Evaluation of transfer credit can take up to two weeks. International transfer credit can take significantly longer (depending on the source institution). If you have questions about when your transfer work will post, please reach out to the corresponding departments.

If you won't meet graduation requirements by the end of your expected graduation term, or if you find that you need to postpone your graduation, then it is important to keep us (CAD & the Registrar’s Office) posted. If your plans change, email both regweb@sfsu.edu and cad@sfsu.edu.
