CAD students who are interested in elementary teaching and applying to MSTC programs. - Description/Purpose of Session:
To share information about and discuss the process of becoming an elementary school teacher - specifically applying to multiple subject credential programs.
Half of the session will be open to questions and discussion to support individual cases and learn and plan together. - Takeaways/Participants will…
- dispel and correct myths around the credentialing process.
- Understand key terminology and jargon related to acquiring a multiple subject teaching credential.
- Understand the concrete steps they need to take to apply to a multiple subject teaching credential program in CA.
- Session Style/Length
The session will begin with a 10-minute ice breaker/group activity followed by a 20-minute talk that covers Molly’s personal experience, important terminology, and steps that students must follow in applying for and beginning an MSTC program.
