Why take CAD 500GW: 

• Research Methods is a required pre-req for many graduate programs
• Skills acquired equip students for success in graduate studies
• Research experience increases professional qualifications and enhances resumes
• Beneficial to all fields of study:  health, law, design, psychology, sociology, to name a few.
• Learn how to understand and develop research focused on youth and families
• Meets many upper-division graduation writing assessment requirements (GWAR) in the CSU (would need pre-approval as a substitution GWAR course in departments outside of CAD)
• 3 units
