
Jenn Gil
( She/Her/Hers )Jenn Gil is originally from Maine and has a unique background, having served in the United States Navy on active duty and residing in Japan for three years. She began her academic journey as a transfer student from Contra Costa College, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in Early Childhood from San Francisco State University (SF State). Currently, she is a dedicated graduate student in the Department of Education at SF State, where her studies focus on Equity and Social Justice in Education. Jenn's research interests are diverse and impactful, encompassing individual and community intervention strategies for individuals with high Adverse Childhood Experience Scores (ACES), addressing outcomes including substance abuse, and the school-to-prison pipeline. Her approach blends insights from positive psychology and physical fitness, with cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality (VR) games
